Latest Updates from Our Project:

Our latest Episode: Arriving on Easter Island, kinda...
about 4 years ago – Thu, Apr 02, 2020 at 01:36:18 AM

Hey Fam,

Here is another Episode, early access for You! We arrived on Easter Island, but instead of going on shore and living the luxuries of civilization (we missed some of them more than we care to admit, like a warm shower, milk in our coffee and a fresh salad with yoghurt dressing... 😋), we had to stay onboard Zingaro for some more days. Find out why by watching the Video!

I'm sure You can relate to our situation, since most of you are probably stuck at home right now, just like us. May this homemade video entertain You!

❤️Much love to You ❤️

After James' 10 day vow of silence & COVID-19 Update
about 4 years ago – Wed, Mar 18, 2020 at 01:43:36 AM

Hi Fam!

James here. Kimmi and I hope this finds you all safe, sound, and healthy surrounded by loved ones.

I've just been through something very special and very important in my life, and shared my experience in an article on our Patreon site HERE

Give it a read and hopefully it plants a seed in your head to try this yourself. That said, this was hands down the most painful thing I've ever been through voluntarily (both physically and mentally), and also one of the better things I've done in my life for my personal growth. Hope you enjoy!

ZINGARO II UPDATE:

We've got a few boats in mind, and have talked to the owners to set up showings, however during the current circumstances with travel restrictions we are in a holding pattern to go and look at them. So, we will take this time to complete the Backerkit surveys, focus on pledge fulfillment, and put out content on YouTube. When the airlines are back up and running then the next steps will be taken for the new boat, and we will keep you all updated every step of the way.

We hope you all are safe, and take this time to connect with family. Play some board games, cook some of that hoarded food, and focus on being with each other.

Till next time. Stay safe, much love.

James

Our thoughts on the last day of this campaign
about 4 years ago – Thu, Mar 05, 2020 at 12:19:26 AM

THE END OF THE CAMPAIGN & THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ADVENTURE!

We are so close to going out there again and doing what we love, thanks to all of you.

First of all a word from the authors...

When we arrived to Hawaii we thought it was the end for us and our wild plans to sail the world. At least for a while. But we thought wrong! The fact that our community poured SO much love our way and made sure that we could keep going, seriously chokes us up. We can't even write this without tearing up and that's the honest truth.

To be a part of something bigger than ourselves is a feeling that we can't begin to describe. Life has its ups and downs, and we've been on a fairly large roller coaster recently, but we want to tell you that we are higher than we've ever been because of YOU. Every single one of you is an amazing human being. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for choosing to come on this journey with us.

Get ready for some epic footage coming from Sailing Zingaro! We are actively searching for a new boat, and the 169% funding we've received (WOW!) has opened up some pretty cool options. Can't wait to share updates with our family here. We promise to keep you all informed with the process.

Zingaro is gone, the weight lifted...

Just four hours ago we singed over the title of our first catamaran. As hard as it was to say goodbye to our old friend, the feeling an hour later when it really sank in was... I don't know the words... relief, alleviation, calmness, readiness. This was the final crux keeping us from really letting go and moving on, and it's finally finished. We are finally ready to start the next chapter.

What now? Time for Introspection!

As I'm sure you can imagine, coming back to land and being plugged in 24/7, after being out to sea cruising for the last three years has taken a toll on our psyches. Add that to loosing our home & job and there's enough to make anyone go a bit crazy. It's time for some introspection and re-centering to be ready for the challenges to come. Part of life is self-improvement.

James is taking a vow of silence. Yes, you heard that right, James is not going to speak for 10 days. That includes email, cell phone, computer, and any other electronics in a very special course where he will learn one of India's ancient techniques of meditation:  Vipassana.

During this time, Kimmi will be making the surveys for you guys, to pick the motif for your prints, and to make sure we have all of the shipping addresses correct. We are very excited to be able to personalize your rewards and give you a little piece of us for the love you've shared. This is a very involved process, so please be patient, it may take a couple weeks to finish, but as soon as they go out we will start shipping. :)

After James returns from his Vipassana, he will handle the pledge fulfillment while Kimmi goes to do her own self-reflection time. After this time of working on ourselves, we will start taking steps to procure a new vessel and begin Sailing Zingaro: Season Two. Does that sound like a plan or what?

Thank you for the love and patience.
